I have a total of 26 under my belt so I know I'll probably find better out there but that game will have to do a lot to match the enjoyment I got playing this game. This game has the standard HOS but also throws in twist like one HOS has two silhouettes talking to each other and you have to interpret their conversation and find the object inferred. Brilliantly done and done within the evolving story. Also done within the story were puzzles that featured a black and white picture with one colored object that you had to place in the correct location in the picture which colored a section and gave you more background story which was narrated. You did this until the picture was completely colorized. Some of these were easy but some of them had you thinking to make the connection. Most of the puzzles were on the easy side but not too easy and that was OK by me.I'm not going to say anything to give away the story which seemed appropriate for the setting which is New Orleans French Quarter. I live actually not too far away from the Quarter and I worked for twenty years just a stones throw away and the Quarter depicted in this game is a mere shadow of the real location but for a HOG I wouldn't expect fidelity, maybe in a RPG or elaborate adventure game. It was the music which really pulled you into the setting. The artwork is beautiful, vibrant, colorful and the music is soothing in a jazzy way. In fact in the extra section of the game which you can fully access after playing the full game and bonus round there is a music section which features some pretty good tunes and I will keep this game on my hard drive just to play the music now and then. There were also some very well done puzzles in this game. One that stood out concerned a sailor\/bar owner and you get to look at his tattoos and that is all I will say about that. There is something done in this game that I'm not a big fan of but was handled very well. You had to look for musical notes in every scene and you also looked for collectables. The reason I'm not a fan is that if you get involved with the story your mind doesn't remember to look for these hidden objects in every scene and if you do you are usually distracted from the story which in this case was pretty good. As a result you don't get a chance to find every "note" or whatever object the game will have you hunt. Sometimes, as was the case with game, scenes will become locked preventing you from traveling to them. When you complete the game and bonus round there is a section in the extras that allow you to go back to every scene where you missed the note or object and find them giving you that sense of completion. I thought that was a nice thoughtful touch and shows that the developer values our time and wants us to enjoy their product. I wish every HOG did this. One final note and I hope this is not too revealing. There is a tragic event that leads to a lost for a character in the game. In the extras section you get to make things right. I found this quite moving. The people involved in this game have big hearts. That was a nice touch..
